Dirk MacGirk is a Cyber Bully and Eve Radio Sanction this.
I was listening to the Eve Radio talk show last night and in relation to current eve topics I was shocked, saddened and sickened with what I heard.
One of the talk show guests Dirk MacGirk was casting his personal opinion on what was being discussed on air and was making very liberal use of a very offensive word which he was using out of context.
The character Boom Boom Longtime challenged Dirk in the in-game eve radio channel as to why he was making liberal use of that word when discussing the topic of cyber bullying, given the manner he was using it could be constituted as bullying in itself.
Dirk MacGirk then belligerently and arrogantly proceeded to personally insult Boom Boom in the in-game channel and unbelievably live on air made a very deliberate foul mouthed and directly offensive personal attack. The words of which I will not share here as the profanity filter would no doubt shield them from our eyes anyhow.
The host DJ BigCounty, but mainly Dirk MacGirk then continued to personally attack deride and mock the character at certain points for the rest of the shows duration, even re-iterating some of the abuse during the shows close and gave this character no means to defend or reply.
Even more shocking was the fact that, like a true internet tough guy, Dirk MacGirk clearly brazenly stated live on air that if Boom Boom Longtime came onto voice communications he would more than happily verbally abuse her. Surely that has to be constituted as bullying, or the intent to bully?
Given the circumstances and the direct nature of these personal attacks I can only but assume rules were broken.
I would urge Boom Boom Longtime to submit a support ticket but I am willing to bet she is above these internet bullies with inflated egos and is laughing that somebody actually resorted to bullying while endeavouring to discuss the subject matter.
Lacking common sense one might say.
The lewd, obscene personal attack can be heard on the rewind show which is currently available on the Eve Radio website, so the evidence is out there.
As of today, the message of the day in the in-game channel Eve-Radio channel, which is permanently linked via CCPGÇÖs chat interface, suggests an Eve player, Boom Boom Longtime is a ******.
Surely this kind of behaviour is not acceptable?
A while back somebody with internet knowledge suggested that the monthly donation amount that Eve Radio request to keep them on air is actually an inflated amount and the cats skim the cream. Out with an audit or financial transparency however that will only ever be speculation, nor am I asserting this even true. Food for thought however
That aside,
Eve Radio is actually associated with CCP via the eve time codes they sell.
Poor wee Boom Boom Longtime was the victim and recipient of a vicious, malicious and callous personal attack last night by Dirk MacGirk who in a fit of rage threw the EULA book he has signed up to, firmly out of the window.
I would like to ask CCP what their opinion is about an affiliated organisation which permits their people to directly, blatantly, personally and deliberately insult players in Eve and live on Air as the rewind recording clearly demonstrates. |
